In August of 2014, FosterKidsUnite, Inc. was approved by the State of New York to start its not-for-profit 501 (c) (3), whose mission is to provide nontraditional services to aged-out foster youth in college or trade school. Over the course of almost 5 years FosterKidsUnite, Inc., has been recognized by numerous state officials and acclaimed newspapers from The Examiner, The Journal News, to The Westchester Guardian. Our vision is to provide tools of success to support aged-out youth pursuing higher education.
With the help of our community and your donations, we proudly have been able to provide scholarships, gift boxes, and mentoring to aged out foster youth. We are all volunteers, trying to pay it forward. No Salaries, No fancy Websites, just people trying to make a difference in the life of a youth without family support. The aged out community is often forgot about once they leave the system, FosterKidsUnite, Inc hopes to be a resource to help them through college. Education and community support are key to the success of those without family.
